About Allied Laboratories
Allied laboratories by Fit for Life Medical was founded in May 2020 during the heart of the Pandemic by four friends who are all experts in their field and wanted to bring a higher level of Laboratory Services to Grenada. Allied Laboratories is a comprehensive laboratory service provider offering Medical, Environmental and Food Testing Services.

Medical Testing
Attached to the Fit for Life Clinic the medical laboratory division offers an array of testing with over 172 tests being offered. One of only three places on in Grenada where COVID 19 testing is done.
Environmental Testing
The environmental division specializes in a wide variety of indoor air quality tests which assess the healthiness of buildings as an important part of occupational health and safety.
Food Testing
The Food Division specializes in product development analysis and analysis related to the implementation of food safety systems such as ISO 22000:2018 and HACCP.

Chemist/Laboratory Managing Director
Leonard St Bernard is the Laboratory Managing Director and co-owner of Allied Laboratories by Fit for Life Medical Services. He graduated from the University of the West Indies, (St. Augustine) attaining both his M.Phil in Chemistry and B.Sc.(Hons) in Chemistry and Management. He has extensive experience in his field of study working on numerous projects regionally and internationally alongside the Grenada Bureau of Standards and United Nations respectively. He is no stranger to the medical field having been the former Laboratory Manager at Spice Isle Imaging Centre. His extensive knowledge and expertise has led to an impeccable track record of management and implementation of Laboratory Management Systems throughout Grenada.

Head Medical Technologist
Shorna Lee Chitterman is the Head Medical Technologist at Allied Laboratories by Fit for Life Medical Services. She attained her A.Sc. in Biology and B.Sc. in Medical Technology from Northern Caribbean University, Jamaica. She has served the role of Medical Technologist and Senior Medical Technologist at various laboratories throughout Grenada. She prides herself on achieving and maintaining excellence in the field of Medical Technology.

Pharmacist/ Administrative Director
Cecil Mark Desmond Mitchell is the Managing Director and Owner of Mitchell’s Health & Wellness Pharmacies, Fit for Life Health Club, co-owner of Fit for Life Medical Services and Emporio Grenada Ltd. Apart from being a registered Pharmacist, he studied fitness and nutrition, and is also a certified Wellness Consultant. Being the owner and operator of health, wellness, and fitness related businesses for a number of years; he got the urge to pursue a degree in Multi Sector Health Management. He pursued his goal and attained his Masters in Multi Sector Health Management from St. George’s University in 2020. His Immense passion for health, wellness, fitness, and love for people, propels him.
